Task
To develop visual styles and a web app within the Telegram platform, taking into account its limitations and technical specifics
Since 2022, Telegram has had a feature that allows web applications to be developed directly within the messenger, as an alternative to websites. Like bots, Mini Apps support seamless authorization, integrated payments via 20 providers, delivering tailored push notifications to users, and much more.
What is Telegram Mini App?
Branding
We created the logo and design system inspired by the sneakerhead culture
Raffkers is a combination of the vibrant culture of sneaker collecting and an auction. We aimed to find a balance between bright accents and simple shapes that convey both the game atmosphere and the reliability of the app.
Landing
To attract users and launch advertisements, we designed a landing page. Bright and inviting, it pulls data from the app, keeping the content of both in sync.
UX/UI
Besides developing the UX/UI for the app itself, we designed user scenarios for integrating it with Telegram
This required research and several iterations of prototype testing, which allowed us to refine both the in-app user experience and the necessary Telegram mechanics, such as a pop-up window and push notifications.

Frontend development
The next step was to develop the web pages, taking into account the technical specifics of the messenger
The stack was Vue.js and TypeScript. We designed the main part of the app and adapted layouts for different resolutions. In order to avoid bugs when integrating the app with individual color themes that Telegram users customize, we developed light and dark modes of the mini-application.
Backend development
We provided the backend development of the mini-app and integrated the new Stars payment system
Our stack included Node.js (Fastify), Vitest. We also created an admin panel for convenient content management and referral flow. As Telegram introduced the new Stars payment system during the project, we transferred the app to it. Working with the Telegram specifics, we gained valuable insights into developing for this platform.
